Regional Sales Manager – Central & Eastern Europe (CEE)
Location: Flexible (Italy with travel, or based locally within the CEE region)
*
Travel: 30% to 50% (up to 50% during peak seasons)
About Our Client
We are currently partnering with a highly respected, long-established Italian corporate group specializing in sustainable agriculture, crop protection, and specialized plant nutrition. With decades of manufacturing excellence, a robust R&D pipeline, and an agile commercial approach, they are a trusted partner to global market leaders and top-tier distributors alike.
To support a strategic internal restructuring and accelerate international expansion, they are looking for a highly skilled professional to manage and grow their business across Central and Eastern Europe.
The Opportunity
This is a highly autonomous entrepreneurial role for a hands-on commercial professional. You will inherit a strong portfolio across a broad territory, with the immediate mandate to structure the region, take direct ownership of existing relationships, and map out new market entry points.
The product mix is currently heavily weighted toward Agrochemicals/Crop Protection, complemented by an innovative, high-growth portfolio of Nutrition and Biostimulants. While the current model is mainly B2B/Distribution, you will have the strategic freedom to explore future B2C and public-private partnership (PPP) models, particularly in key markets.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Strategy & GTM: Define and execute the custom Go-To-Market strategy for a diverse territory comprising: Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, Georgia, and Poland.
*
Front-Line Commercial Execution: Act as a “sole contributor” in the field. You will maintain and grow existing distribution networks and retail partners, directly managing key B2B relationships.
*
Portfolio Diversification: Drive sales of the core agrochemical range while actively introducing and growing the plant nutrition and biostimulant lines, shifting market mindset toward holistic crop solutions.
*
P&L & Budget Management: Manage pricing guidance, product mix, and sales pipelines to meet revenue, margin, and forecast targets.
*
Cross-Functional Collaboration: While working autonomously in the territory, you will be fully supported by a robust corporate back office in Italy, including dedicated Regulatory, Technical Marketing, R&D, and Field Trial teams.
What We Are Looking For
Industry Experience: 8+ years of sharp commercial or technical-sales experience within the agricultural inputs sector (Crop Protection/PPP, Fertilizers, or Biostimulants).
*
The Right Mindset: We need a professional who is genuinely excited to be on the front line. You are not afraid to travel heavily, work independently, and balance high-level distributor negotiations with on-the-ground field realities.
*
Product Versatility: A strong background in Agrochemicals/PPP is preferred, but you should possess a flexible, open mentality toward learning and expanding the nutritional/biostimulant portfolio.
*
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in Italian is an advantage and will significantly ease integration with the headquarters’ technical and regulatory teams. Any local CEE languages are a strong plus.
*
Background: A degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or a closely related field is highly desirable, though equivalent commercial experience in the sector will be valued.
What’s on Offer
The autonomy of building out a major European region with the backing of a financially stable, asset-rich manufacturer.
*
A highly collaborative corporate culture with minimal red tape and short decision-making paths.
*
Access to top-tier technical marketing tools, field trial data, and regulatory support to ensure your commercial success.
or have a confidential discussion about this position, please submit your English CV detailing your experience within the target CEE countries.
