AI Governance Engineer – Project Manager

Your new role
As AI Governance Engineer – Project Manager, you’ll drive delivery across AI governance and enablement initiatives, ensuring alignment between strategy, technical implementation, and stakeholder needs. This role is about orchestration, prioritisation, and execution enabling Novo Nordisk to scale AI safely and effectively across the organisation. This position is a short-term assignment ending in December 2026.
Your responsibilities will include:

-Leading and coordinating AI governance and enablement initiatives across multiple workstreams, including AI agent governance and AI governance automation
-Planning, prioritising, and tracking delivery of technical and governance activities to ensure strategic alignment
-Acting as a central point of coordination between engineering, governance, security, and business stakeholders
-Supporting the translation of strategic AI governance goals into executable plans that teams can action
-Identifying gaps, dependencies, and risks across initiatives and proactively addressing them
-Ensuring timely delivery while balancing competing priorities and constraints
-Supporting continuous improvement of ways of working within AI governance and enablement

Within Enterprise IT & Quality, you’ll join the AI Foundation team, specifically AI Governance & Enablement (AIGE). This team sits at the intersection of innovation and responsibility, building the frameworks and capabilities that allow Novo Nordisk to adopt AI at enterprise scale while maintaining trust, transparency, and ethical standards.
Your skills & qualifications
We’re looking for someone who thrives in complex, fast-evolving environments and can bring both structure and adaptability to ambiguous challenges. You’ll bring with you:

-A master’s degree within a relevant field and a high level of proficiency in English
-Strong experience in project or programme management, ideally in technical or AI-related domains
-Solid understanding of AI, data, or digital technology environments
-Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams in complex organisations
-Ability to manage ambiguity and evolving requirements
-Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences
-A structured, delivery-oriented mindset focused on outcomes
Nice to have:
