Job Opportunity: 360 Excavator Operator (Civils/Housing)

Location: Darlington, County Durham

Rate: GBP22 per hour CIS

Duration: Ongoing Long-term Contract

We are looking for an experienced and reliable 360 Excavator Operator to join a fast-paced civils team on a major residential housing development in the Darlington area. If you’re a skilled operator who takes pride in a tidy site and precise work, we want to hear from you.

The Role

Working as part of a groundworks gang, your primary responsibilities will include:

* Deep Drainage: Excavating trenches for foul and surface water systems.
* Foundations: Digging out footings and pads to exact specifications.
* Roads & Sewers: Assisting with the initial infrastructure and highway works.
* Grading: Finishing works, including battering and leveling.
* Safety: Adhering to strict site health and safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

* Valid CPCS or NPORS Card (Above and Below 10 Tonne).
* Lifting Ops endorsement (preferred).
* Proven Experience specifically on housing sites and civil engineering projects.
* Full PPE and the ability to provide recent work references.
* A “muck in” attitude-while your primary job is operating, a willingness to assist the groundworkers when necessary is highly valued.
