We currently have an exciting opportunity for a QA Supervisor based in Grange Castle. Reporting to the Specification and Supplier Approval Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and development of the Quality Management Systems and BRC standard for ARYZTA Bakeries Manufacturing.

Principle Accountabilities will include:

-Promote a Food and Health & Safety culture within the site & set & monitor adherence to all Quality & Environmental, Health & Safety standards & procedures.
-Reporting issues to your manager, compliant to all SOPs. Adhere to all hygiene rules & participate in all relevant training required. Food safety is your responsibility.
-Partaking in an effective shift hand-over ensuring QC service is seamless
-Ensure any non-conformances are recorded and acted upon promptly
-Provide support for production trials, root cause analysis and improvement projects as required
-Monitoring & verification of OPRPs & CCPs
-Monitoring of compliance with GMP/GHP/GDP rules
-Updating of the QMS system in the Grange Castle bakery proactively and as requested (Quality manual, procedures manual, records manual, H.A.C.C.P., recipes etc.)
-Training Production staff in Metal detector and QMS procedures and records.
-Completion of Internal audits- GMPs, Tool and Toolbox checks
-Ensuring hygiene, calibration and glass audits are up to date with relevant issues being raised / monitored on Safety Culture.
-Updating all relevant documents for new products within manufacturing.
-Working proactively with other departments within manufacturing to resolve any issues in the bakery on a daily basis.
-Active participation in preparation and on the day handling of customer audits / F.P.R.’s / Visits
 

Skills & Qualifications required:

-Certificate in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
-Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and Quality Management Systems.
-Previous experience in a similar Quality Assurance role within the food industry is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in relevant Q.A. roles combined with some relevant manufacturing experience.
-Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
-Strong organizational planning and problem-solving capabilities.
-A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of the team
-Familiarity with the requirements of the B.R.C. standard as well of those of the major retailers would be a significant advantage.
 

Hours of work will be shift work – two weeks days from 8am to 8pm and then two weeks nights from 8pm to 8am.

First week: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then Wednesday and Thursday.
