We are looking for a

Product Engineering Manager  (based in SWEP Slovakia, Kechnec)

Product Engineering Manager leads and coordinates assigned Product Engineering team. The team includes competence areas as Design, Product Engineering and Project Management. This role drives efficiency and delivers results for new and existing product related activities and projects within its responsibility. Global alignment with other Product Engineering Managers and teams is a vital part of the role. With being part of the global PE Management team, comes a responsibility to lead and drive improvement in how to work internally and cross-functionally.

As a Product Engineering Manager , you will:

Lead, coordinate and drive efficiency of the assigned Product Engineering team. 

Lead the local Project Steering Group

Deliver results, measure (KPI) and report deviations and successes. 

Lead and ensure the development of talents to secure succession and growth. 

Distribute resources according to decisions made at the Steering Group

Ensure right level of coordination with local plant management as well as other global functions. 

Drive global development of ways of working and standardization.

Together with peers in other plants – drive the development of related processes (CI). 

Be part of the Local Plant Management Team 

Have other responsibilities valid for all SWEP Managers.

We are looking for candidates ideally being:

Middle management leader

Driven and result orientated

Able to balance long-term strategies with short-term needs

Able to participate in setting long-term goals for the function

Able to coach

Able to develop a team and it’s members in-line with long-term needs

You also need to have good communication and collaboration skills as well as a high degree of business acumen.

You need to be fluent in English, written and oral.

Slovak language is a bonus.

You should also have:

Technical University degree or equivalent

Experience in working in areas related to R&D

Experience at least 5 years in similar position
