Autism Support Worker – SEN School – Brixton

Pay: GBP95-GBP100 per day

The Role

This is a full-time, long-term position starting after the summer break, with the potential to continue beyond the academic year.

As an Autism Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting pupils with autism and complex needs. You’ll work in a structured, supportive classroom setting, helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
* Delivering engaging, personalised activities
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and life skills
* Helping to maintain a calm and positive learning environment

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

* Has experience with (or a strong understanding of) ASD and complex needs
* Is patient, empathetic, and approachable
* Feels confident working both one-to-one and within a classroom
* Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues
* Is passionate about supporting children with SEN

Experience is helpful but not essential – attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn are just as important.

* Experience as an Autism Support Worker, Teaching Assistant, or similar role (preferred)
* A genuine interest in supporting children with autism and SEN
* A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness )
