Senior Enterprise Data Architect
Enabling bionic through data.
You could be our next Senior Enterprise Data Architect – shaping how data flows across Lundbeck as we unify our enterprise data platforms under one strategic direction.
Lundbeck is accelerating its ambition to become a bionic company, where data, analytics, and AI are embedded in how we make decisions and create value for patients. Enterprise Data plays a central enabling role, we do not own business outcomes, but we build the scalable, trusted foundations that allow domains to deliver them with autonomy and clarity.
Your new role
Lundbeck has recently consolidated ownership of its core analytical enterprise data platforms, Snowflake, SAP BW / SAP Datasphere, and Microsoft Fabric.
This creates a deliberate architectural opportunity to design how these platforms operate together as one coherent enterprise data landscape.
As Senior Enterprise Data Architect, you will act as the enterprise-level steward of our data reference architecture. You will define clear platform roles, explicit “when-to-use-what” guidance, and robust integration patterns that ensure technical integrity, interoperability, and long-term sustainability across domains.
You will:
type=”disc”-
-Define and steward enterprise-wide data architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures grounded in real platform capabilities
-Lead cross-platform alignment across Snowflake, SAP BW / Datasphere, and Microsoft Fabric, ensuring clarity of boundaries and interaction models
-Establish integration standards (e.g., batch, event-driven, virtualization, data contracts, CDC where relevant) across the federated landscape
-Strengthen shared enterprise semantics, including canonical models, business glossary alignment, and semantic abstraction across platforms
-Embed FAIR-aligned governance, metadata standards, and data product practices directly into engineering workflows
-Act as a trusted architectural advisor, reviewing and challenging solution designs to ensure coherence with long-term enterprise principles
This is a senior enterprise role with significant architectural leadership responsibility across teams and governance bodies. Your influence comes from deep technical credibility, architectural judgment, and the ability to create clarity in complexity.
Your future team
You will report to the Head of Enterprise Data Platforms and join Enterprise Data within Enterprise Digital Enablement.
The department is responsible for establishing, operating, and continuously evolving Lundbeck’s enterprise data platforms to ensure they are secure, scalable, compliant, and reliable. We work closely with the Data Activation team and business domains to balance domain autonomy with clear enterprise guardrails.
Our culture is characterized by trust, pragmatic collaboration, and intellectual curiosity. We value architectural rigor, open dialogue, and building durable foundations that enable others to move faster with confidence.
The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
What you bring to the team
You bring substantial hands-on experience with modern enterprise data platforms in complex, large-scale environments.
You likely have:
type=”disc”-
-Deep experience with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, SAP BW / SAP Datasphere, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable technologies
-Strong cross-platform architectural judgment and understanding of platform strengths, trade-offs, and integration patterns
-Proven experience defining and governing enterprise reference architectures adopted in practice
-Technical credibility to challenge designs and guide teams toward scalable, interoperable, and sustainable solutions
You combine strategic thinking with pragmatic enablement and are comfortable engaging senior stakeholders while remaining grounded in engineering realities, and experience from regulated or complex environments is an advantage
