Do you want to use your information security experience and AI Security knowledge to advise and secure one of the most innovative pharmaceutical companies in the world? Join our team of security professionals at Novo Nordisk, where you’ll help shape security strategies in AI and emerging technologies. We seek a candidate with a solid background in information security, technology, and risk-thinking, who has an interest in cloud security, data protection, and AI.

Your new role

As Senior Information Security Advisor, AI, you will enable the secure and responsible adoption of AI across Novo Nordisk by embedding strong information security and cybersecurity practices into AI-enabled business and IT projects. Working within the Enterprise IT and Quality Information Security team, you will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to assess risks, define controls, and translate complex security controls into practical, business focused guidance that supports scalable AI solutions.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

style=”margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:0.0cm” type=”disc”-
-Applying knowledge of AI security (ML, deep learning, LLMs and generative AI) to assess risks and advise on secure design and deployment of AI solutions.
-Conducting modular risk assessments and threat modelling to break down complex AI-, application- and cloud architectures and identify how risk accumulates.
-Simplifying and operationalise controls and risk assessments for complex tech stacks, driving pragmatic, repeatable security decisions across projects.
-Translating regulatory and legislative impacts (e.g., EU AI Act, NIS2) into actionable security requirements in collaboration with Legal and ecurity colleagues.
-Building partnerships across the AI community and technical teams, promote security best practices, and support adoption through workshops, hackathons and broad internal communication.
-Continuously monitor AI security trends, emerging threats and frameworks, and recommend improvements to existing controls and advisory practices.

We expect you to participate in seminars, poster sessions, hackathons, panel discussions, and communicate broadly with colleagues on all levels throughout the organization. The job is in Ballerup, Denmark but you will be expected to visit other sites

a few days per month, depending on project activity.

Your Skills and Qualifications

style=”margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:0.0cm” type=”disc”-
-Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in information security within large, global organisations, with experience with modern architectures in complex environments on exposure to cloud security.
-Demonstrated ability to perform risk assessments, threat modelling and to analyse data flows and AI/LLM-related risks.
-Proven skills in translating technical security risks into business language to guide decisions and prioritisation.
-Relevant certifications (CISM, CISSP, CCSP, GPCS) or formal training in information/cloud/application security are a plus.

You are a clear communicator who makes complex security topics accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Calm under pressure, you think analytically and decompose problems into manageable pieces, while remaining pragmatic in recommending controls. Collaborative and curious, you engage the AI community, run workshops and evangelise secure practices; you combine a service mindset with the confidence to influence decisions at senior levels. Solid stakeholder management skills will be needed to succeed in this role.

Your new department

You will join the Enterprise Information Technology & Quality (EITQ) Information Security team, a central advisory function that enables secure, compliant and resilient IT across Novo Nordisk. The team partners closely with cloud, data, AI, application and business stakeholders to embed security by design into digital initiatives and to translate regulatory and risk requirements into practical controls.
