Your new role
As Senior Communications Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in how Novo Nordisk engages with the world. Reporting to the Associate Director of External Affairs & MAPA, you’ll oversee external communications with a focus on building our reputation, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring our story resonates with diverse audiences. A key part of your role will be acting as company spokesperson – the face and voice of Novo Nordisk in the Czech market.
Your responsibilities will include:

-Developing and executing external communication strategies that align with our strategic vision and enhance our visibility and reputation in the Czech Republic
-Building and maintaining strong relationships with media, external audiences, and key stakeholders, acting as the primary liaison to address inquiries and foster long-term partnerships
-Creating and distributing compelling press releases, media kits, and communication materials that bring our mission to life
-Monitoring and analyzing communication effectiveness through audience engagement metrics, identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategic adjustments
-Collaborating cross-functionally with strategy & marketing, medical, and sales teams to ensure coordinated, consistent messaging aligned with business objectives
-Delivering media training, communication training, and managing communication budgets to maximize impact
Your new department
Within this dynamic environment, you’ll be part of the External Affairs & MAPA team in Czechia – a group dedicated to shaping how we engage with the world and ensuring our innovative treatments reach the patients who need them. Your communication expertise will be essential in positioning Novo Nordisk as a trusted healthcare leader in the Czech market and beyond.
Your skills & qualifications
We’re looking for a strategic communicator and natural storyteller who thrives on building relationships and shaping narratives. You’ll bring with you:

-Minimum bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
-At least 5 years’ experience in journalism, communications, or media relations, with a proven track record of managing external communication strategies
-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Czech (native level required) and English (fluent), with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to articulate complex information effectively
-Strong knowledge of analytics and reporting tools to measure communication impact and inform strategy
-Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
-Experience acting as a spokesperson or media liaison is highly valued
