We’re looking for a talented Bid Manager to join our Bid team within Royal London’s UK Distribution business for a 12 month FTC. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in acquiring and retaining profitable strategic partner and client relationships in the UK financial advice market. You’ll work closely with Business Development teams and senior stakeholders, helping to deliver sustainable growth through our Protection and Workplace Pension propositions. About the role

-Lead the end-to-end process of tender opportunities, from qualification to bid planning and submission.
-Develop high-quality, tailored content and responses for RFPs, RFIs, tenders, and pitches, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
-Facilitate bid workshops  to develop unique strategies for each opportunity.
-Collaborate with Business Development and other teams to review mandates, make recommendations, and ensure proposals meet customer needs.
-Manage the bid pipeline, monitor progress, and report on key metrics.
-Guide and coach colleagues on best practice bid processes and content creation.
-Ensure risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the bid process.
 

About you

-Expert experience managing bid and tender activity in a corporate environment, ideally following APMP principles or equivalent.
-Strong understanding of best practice bid processes and the UK Workplace Pensions and Protection markets.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling proposals and presentations.
-Proven leadership qualities, able to inspire and constructively challenge others.
-Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects to challenging deadlines.
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with confidence in handling numerical data.
-Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and building strong networks across the business.
-APMP qualified to Foundation level
