The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join University College Birmingham’s CASE (Centre for Academic Skills and English) team, who play a crucial role in the development of our students’ English and academic skills.
You will be joining University College Birmingham during an exciting period of development, including a growth in student body and courses and the ongoing development of world-class facilities.
You will provide EAP development and 1:1 English and academic support for HE students, in addition to delivering bespoke EAP and academic skills support for groups/ in workshops. You will also contribute to assessing students’ language skills before they start their courses as part of the UCB English Language Test team.
You will have experience of supporting students in developing English language skills for academic purposes, as well as helping students with their academic skills in an HE educational setting. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you will have experience of Virtual Learning Environments and software packages used to design engaging self-study materials.
