Student Assistant, Project Engineering
Are you a student with an interest in project management and working in a professional, corporate environment? Would you like hands-on experience with project management within construction, life science and pharma in a large international company?
As a Student Assistant in Project Engineering at Lundbeck, you will become part of a highly engaged, informal and multidisciplinary department, where we work closely across functions to deliver complex projects with high demands on quality, coordination and documentation.
The position is part-time, with a working time between 9:00 and 15:00, and an expected workload of approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility during exam periods
The role is suitable for students from a broad range of educational backgrounds – including engineering, architecture, business, project management and related fields – who are curious about how projects are managed and executed in practice in a corporate setting.
Your new role
As a Student Assistant in Project Engineering, you will primarily be assigned to one larger project, working closely with the Project Manager and gaining hands-on experience with project management across all project phases.
A key part of the role is stakeholder management, coordination and change management, as the projects often impact many internal stakeholders across the organisation – ranging from end users and operations to management and external partners.
Your tasks will include:
style=”margin-top:0.0cm;margin-bottom:0.0cm” type=”disc”-
-Coordination and follow-up across internal and external stakeholders.
-Communication and information sharing with Lundbeck colleagues.
-Schedule and ressource planning.
-Minutes from project, construction and safety meetings.
-Financial follow-up, budgeting and reporting.
-Preparation of decision material and presentations for management.
-On-site follow-up related to project execution.
-Ad hoc support to the Project Manager and department management.
You will gain insight into how projects are managed in a complex corporate environment, where structure, stakeholder management and clear communication are just as important as technical solutions.
You will work in a professionally challenging environment with a team of skilled and dynamic project managers, specialists, and system coordinators across the organization.
Your future team
You will become part of an exceptional team where culture, leadership, and camaraderie are not just buzzwords but are integrated into our everyday work. At Lundbeck, we believe that strong team dynamics are essential to achieving our goals and maintaining a work environment where everyone thrives.
We are 14 skilled employees with diverse professional backgrounds, and you will report to the Director of Project Engineering.
The position is based in Valby, Copenhagen.
What you bring to the team
We are looking for an engaged and curious student who is motivated to develop within project management and thrives in a professional environment with many interfaces.
We expect that you:
-Are enrolled in a relevant higher education programme, e.g. engineering, construction management, architecture, project management, business or similar (DTU, SDU, KU, CBS or equivalent).
-Have a strong interest in project management, coordination and working in a large organization.
-Work in a structured way and have an understanding of budgeting, planning and follow-up.
-Are comfortable communicating with a wide range of stakeholders – from technicians and craftsmen to senior management.
-Are proactive, responsible and eager to learn through hands-on experience.
-Have an interest in or exposure to construction, facilities, design or technical environments (not a requirement, but an advantage).
-Experience from life science, pharma or construction-related industries is an advantage, but not a requirement.
