Architectural Technician

Location: Essex

Salary: GBP28-35,000

A forward-thinking and growing architectural practice based in Essex is seeking a motivated and technically capable Architectural Technician to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic studio at an exciting stage of growth, contributing to the delivery of high-quality residential projects across the UK.

The successful candidate will be technically strong, enthusiastic about architecture and construction, and keen to develop their skills within a supportive and progressive working environment. A full, clean driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

* Attend site visits and client meetings to support project delivery
* Produce technical and 3D drawings for planning applications
* Prepare detailed technical packages for Building Regulations approval
* Coordinate information with external consultants and stakeholders
* Support the delivery of multiple projects concurrently
* Assist with project administration and general studio duties
* Represent the practice at networking and industry events when required

Candidate Requirements

* Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
* Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a car
* Experience working on UK residential projects
* Strong working knowledge of Building Regulations and construction methods
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, with familiarity in 3D software such as SketchUp
* Good understanding of the UK planning process
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
