- IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome a Visual Merchandiser to their team.
- A Visual Merchandiser at IKEA designs and maintains attractive product displays, implements store layout plans, collaborates on merchandising strategies, and stays updated on home furnishing trends.
- Planned interviews will be between 27 October and 09 November.
- WHAT WE OFFER
- Start date: 22 and 23 November 2025.
- Starting salary pro-rated for part-time hours is £20,309 per annum, based on competence and experience (full-time equivalent salary is £26,401 per annum). Please note there is scope at a later point to potentially to move to full-time.
- Part-time, 30 hours a week working 5 days per week. Ordinarily Monday to Friday, however, working 1 in 5 Sundays is expected as part of the role. Shifts will start at 07:00am in the morning until 13:00pm in the afternoon.

- WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
- You have a degree/experience in a relevant creative field.
- A working knowledge in design software such as Autocad, REVIT or Adobe Creative Suite.
- You are excited about home furnishings, design and how people live, and have the ability to use generate new ideas to inspire our customers.
- You have a hands-on approach, feeling at ease working with various hand tools and comfortable working at heights. This is a retail role, where you will be happy to work around the shopfloor.
- WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.
- Understanding the local market to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet the many individual tastes and exceed our visitor’s expectations.
- Collaborate with the Communication & Interior Design team and other functions, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of actions on the financial results.
- Working with the commercial calendar to implement range changes.
