Job description
An opportunity for an exceptional and experienced Sr Environmental Manager to join the Italian team of one of the leading renewable energy companies to oversee environmental compliance and sustainability strategies across onshore renewable energy projects.This role is located in Rome, Italy.Responsibilities:
- You will ensure projects meet environmental regulations, perform impact assessments, and collaborate with key stakeholders to align strategies with ecological objectives.
- You will review regional environmental policies and implement compliance measures throughout project lifecycles.
- You will lead and manage environmental impact assessments, ensuring alignment with applicable legal frameworks and sustainability standards.
- Your role will be pivotal in navigating environmental regulations, conducting impact assessments, and coordinating with stakeholders to align projects with sustainability goals.
- You will analyse local environmental regulations to ensure compliance at every project phase.
- You will prepare and oversee the execution of environmental impact studies, ensuring adherence to all relevant standards and regulations.
- You will provide environmental support, covering project development, construction, and operational phases across Southern Europe.
Your Profile
- Strong expertise in environmental impact studies, legislation, and sustainability management.
- Proven experience in managing renewable energy/infrastructure projects focusing on regulatory compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of local environmental regulations relevant to project development.
- Experience in coordinating environmental consultants and managing monitoring and reporting processes.
- Excellent communication skills in Italian and English, with the ability to engage effectively with environmental bodies and authorities.
