Offer DescriptionRECTOR OF CZESTOCHOWA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGYannounces an open competition for the post ofResearch Assistant Professor (POST-DOC)at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineeringunder the NCN project No. UMO-2020/39/B/ST8/01449:“Development of a new passive flow control method based on in-depth analysis of near-wall physical phenomena”The competition is open to applicants who meet the detailed requirements set out by the competition committee appointed in accordance with the NCN (National Science Centre) regulations.CONDITIONS FOR ENTERING THE COMPETITION: * PhD degree in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering, or in natural and exact sciences in the discipline of Physics.
- Knowledge of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and flow turbulence.
- Knowledge of the principles of turbulent flow metrology, measurement methods used in fluid mechanics, especially optical time-resolved PIV using Dantec DynamicStudio software and advanced post-processing of the velocity maps (Wavelet transformation or equivalent) and hot-wire measurement methods.
- Knowledge of LabView software for developing data acquisition and analysis programs. Knowledge of MatLab and Tecplot software.
- Highly scored publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals related to near-wall flows, especially turbulent flow metrology.
- Ability to independently plan and conduct experiments on turbulent flow.
- Very good command of the English language.
