Job Description Summary The Combustion Aero Design Lead is responsible for supporting design, development and validation of gas turbine combustion systems, including development rig and engine test campaigns, planning, monitoring, data reduction and documentation.In this role you will learn processes that meet business needs across the organization, participate in solving complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesDetailed Aerodynamic analysis, design, and test functions required to define components, assemblies, and systems that meet program and product requirementsUse and development of engineering tools to perform aerodynamic evaluationsSuccessful planning, design and execution of test programsCompliant communications of aero technical dataBasic technical implications of business CTQ’s.Collaboration with cross functional engineering teams to support hardware design & manufacturing as well as testingPartner with internal and external function to improve processes and/or manage activitiesQualifications/RequirementsMaster’s degree (preferred) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with a focus on combustion aerodynamicsDesign engineer in aerodynamics with minimum of 3 years NPI/NTI experience in combustion aerodynamics design and validationLean / Six Sigma.Technical aptitude in combustion science, experimental testing and large data processingFluency in Italian and EnglishWork VISA, according to local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsClear thinker and effective problem solverIndependence / work without direct supervisionEffective program management and executionFlexible & friendly approach to working in global teamsWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
