Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor (Evening Position)
Location: HP21, Aylesbury

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE AN ENHANCED DBS

Hours:

* Term Time: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM
* School Holidays: Daytime hours (to be confirmed)
* 20 hours per week

Contract Type:

* Preferably 52 weeks per year, but term-time only (39 weeks) may be considered

Pay rate

* GBP14.16 – GBP15.18 per hour Depending on experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Cleaning Supervisor to lead a team of cleaning operatives. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the school. The position is an evening-only role during term time and transitions to daytime hours during school holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

* Daily operational supervision of the cleaning team under the Site Manager’s guidance.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including COSHH regulations.
* Schedule and manage work shifts and absence cover for the team.
* Conduct quality audits, performance appraisals, and training for team members.
* Manage stock and equipment replenishment in liaison with the Site Manager.
* Undertake and supervise cleaning duties, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
* Secure the school premises at the end of cleaning sessions, including setting alarms.

Essential Criteria:

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory cleaning role.
* Familiarity with current cleaning industry best practices, methods, products, and equipment.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Reliable, adaptable, and committed to upholding the values of the school.

Desirable Criteria:

* BICs cleaning qualification or equivalent.
* Experience using cleaning machinery such as floor polishers.
