Why we need this role
You’ll support the implementation and continued compliance with ISO14001, across the certified countries (Europe and India) and with a view to expansion to all Global geographies. Also you’ll en
sure the implementation of 14001 Plan of Activities (risk assessments, inspections, environment & sustainability training programme, reporting etc) through engagement with HSE Team and out of team resources nominated to support 14001 compliance, validating that they comply with their legal obligations and provide on-site customer support to the country staff.

nsure ISO 14001:2015 certification is retained in the countries under its scope or expanded to other countries in accordance with business requirements.
What you’ll do
Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:
-Uphold Colt’s Environment Governance model and ensure strict adherence to ISO 14001:2015 standards.
-Execute all administrative duties essential for continuous compliance with the environmental standard.
-Offer ongoing environmental guidance and counsel to personnel across various countries, irrespective of business function.
-Redesign and/or create comprehensive global environmental corporate procedures for EMS for ISO 14001 certification.
-Work with regional HSE advisors and local environmental coordinators to ensure meticulous documentation is kept and aligned with local legislation in each respective country.
-Oversee contractual relationships with legal partners on a global scale throughout the entire duration of contracts, such as Red-on-Line (for Colt Core & Neo).
-Supervise and administer agreements with certification body, BSI.
-Direct and supervise environmental audit programs, both internal and external, with the support of regional and local Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) advisors/ environmental coordinators.
-Contribute to environmental and sustainability communication initiatives and cultivate a culture of change through web portal content.
-Develop and update environmental sustainability e-learning modules mandated by ISO 14001 standards, collaborating with the Learning & Development Department.
-Collaborate closely with local HSE advisors within their designated regional scope and extend support to advisors from other regions as needed to achieve both Group and local environmental objectives.
-Preparation and management of annual budgets for EMS activities in each country.
-Travel to countries within the ISO 14001 region as needed for specific support or upon request.
-Support procurement activities of the Vendor Risk Management process (VRM) concerning environmental questionnaires (review, escalations, etc..)
Other Accountabilities:
-Support EcoVadis and CDP submission on a yearly basis in conjunction with the sustainability team.
-Support the Annual Sustainability Report by providing the necessary environmental data to different stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators (financial and non-financial):
-ISO 14001:2015 certification retained.
-Maintain the relationship with contracted services (Red-on-Line, BSI) for continuous service and support.
-Regular updates of the Environmental Sustainability e-learning module to match the best practices in the industry.
-VRM activities for EMS/14001 standard are being assigned and completed in timely fashion.

What we look for
-A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as environmental specialist in a multinational company or an external environmental consultant / service provider is required. Experience in an H&S/quality position is recommended.
-Experience within a multi-site business operating a matrix management structure. Experience of Europe is preferable but not essential.
-Experience dealing with people from multiple geographies, with differing cultures and management styles is preferable
-Comfortable talking to different groups from different cultures and backgrounds, interacting with local authorities, new comers, visitors etc
-The ability to demonstrate customer care orientation, maintain professional etiquette and ethical behavior, approach tasks methodically and straightforwardly, and think quickly in various situations.
-Must possess at least a formal recognized qualification as environmental engineer/specialist from the country where this role is going to be based
-Proficiency in English, written and spoken. Technical writing is needed
-Be computer literate, confident user of office including Excel (formulas), Word (formatting, hyperlinks and bookmarks), Acrobat writer (online forms).
-Customer oriented and a real team player is essential
Preferable:
-Management experience of ISO14001:2015 and/or ISO 45001:2018.
-Excellent interpersonaland communication skills.
