Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving business growth? Do you have proven experience in strategic, long-term, cross-organisational marketing/strategic initiatives and commercial planning? We are looking for a Cardiometabolic Marketing Director in our Business Area BAAF. 

You will report to Senior Director Medical & Marketing Business Area (BA) Africa (BAAF) and the role is based in Istanbul, Türkiye.
 

The Position
As a Marketing Director, you will independently develop a mid to long-term marketing strategy with a strong emphasis on cardiometabolic portfolio strategy, driving launches, campaigns, and provide strong guidance for execution. You will define the go-to-market strategy, apply a market-fit approach by aligning with global/regional cross-functional medico-marketing guidance and strategy and prepare the organization for the current and future business needs and ensure the cardiometabolic portfolio achieves its full potential.

-You will work cross-funtionally in cardiometabolic medico-marketing team for aligned, strategic and sharp focus on the customers, ensuring competitive communication to shape the BAAF markets to further differentiate and outperform competition
-You will work with affiliate teams to drive performance towards ambitious business goals to drive and sustain market leadership
-You will drive strategic approach to develop data foundation across BAAF affiliates as well as ensuring adequate resources are allocated in budget plans to address cardiometabolic business critical activities. 
-Monitor and challenge cardiometabolic market developments (commercial, medical, access etc.) with high business impact and provide strategic recommendations for improvements and prepare for future launches.
-Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the company’s products and services
-Foster innovation, simplicity, and agility in the organization, driving diversity and inclusion initiatives for sustainable business success.
 

Qualifications
You have a master’s degree in business or life-sciences. You have at least 7 years of years of proven experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare, regulated industry busi-ness development and marketing in commercial setting and deep understanding of medical data & marketing, developing strategies and executing on management level. You have the knowledge gained by commercial/marketing positions with experience and ability to work cross functionally. Regional or a business area experience is an advantage. You should have excellent command over both written and spoken English.

-Strong understanding of business dynamics with an entrepreneurial and enterprise mindset.
-Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and influence others to achieve outstanding results
-Demonstrated creativity and innovation in marketing strategies.
-Hands-on experience with customers at the affiliate level is a significant advantage
-As a person, you are a natural leader with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You excel in collaboration and communication, effectively driving conversations with a diverse range of internal and external senior-level stakeholders. Your entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think outside the box set you apart. Most importantly, you share our passion and determination to improve patients’ lives
 

About the Department 
Business Area Africa is a newly established business area responsible for Novo Nordisk’s operations in 5 fast growing affiliates: South Africa, Egypt, Middle Africa, Morocco and Tunisia. From our Business Area office in Istanbul, we set strategy, drive impactful initiatives in support of the strategy and provide functional support to the General Managers and functional colleagues across these affiliates.
