Are you ready to ignite the power of communication, drive impactful change and spearhead meaningful transformation across a dynamic business area covering 22 countries in the Middle East and Central Asia? We are seeking a passionate, driven and strategic communicator to join our Corporate Affairs team in Business Area Middle East and Central Asia (BAMECA). You will report to the Director of Corporate Affairs and be based in the Business Area (BA) Office in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The Position
As Communications Manager, you will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Director of Corporate Affairs. 

Your responsibilities will include:

-Providing support with communication strategies, planning, preparation and project management. 
-Developing and implementing internal communication strategies to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all levels of the BA organisation by supporting and guiding the BA affiliates to drive effective local communication efforts and initiatives. 
-Overseeing and managing external communication efforts in close collabora-tion with the BA affiliates.
-Managing media relations and supporting the BA affiliates in this matter by serving as the primary BA point of contact for press inquiries, interviews, and media opportunities.
-Creating compelling and engaging content including, but not limited to, press releases, presentations, reports, newsletters, and social media posts. 
-Building and maintaining enduring relationships with key stakeholders across functions and geographies. 
-Serving as the main BA point of contact for social and environmental sustainability initiatives, offering support and guidance to the BA affiliates to enable them to effectively raise disease awareness, improve community health, and advocate for sustainable practices in their local communities.  
 

Qualifications
You preferably hold a master’s degree in business administration, economics, com-munications, public relations, sustainability, or similar with at least 7 years of expe-rience in communication and/or project management.

You are fluent in both written and spoken English and in addition to this:

-You are a strong and driven communicator and project manager with an ana-lytical approach to projects and tasks.
-You have a strategic mindset, and you are proactive, accountable, and self-driven with the ability to think critically and anticipate future trends/consequences. 
-You are highly skilled at preparing executive level communication with a knack for turning complex information into simple and compelling messages. Also, excellent writing and editing skills with an advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite.
-You are known for building good relations with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
-You can work in a global, multicultural context and your robust interpersonal and communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate across teams and departments, fostering an environment of strategic thinking and a team-oriented approach.
 

About the Department 
Business Area Middle East and Central Asia (BAMECA) is anchored within Region Emerging Markets and is responsible for Novo Nordisk’s operations in seven fast growing affiliates spanning across 22 countries within the Middle East and Central Asia region. The Corporate Affairs department brings together the executive office, strategy development, data and insights, communications, media and sustainability. You will join a small yet forward-thinking Corporate Affairs unit, where innovation thrives, collaboration is key, and engagement is paramount. We provide unparalleled support to our BA functional and affiliate teams, offering the best guidance and insights to drive success in all relevant Corporate Affairs endeavours.
