Here at IMG we are pleased to announce that we are looking for a Business Development Executive working Remotely or Hybrid working 37.5 hours a week including some on-call hours with a competitive salary of £35,000 – £40,000 (Depending on Experience). The Business Development Executive will produce new IPMI business and maintain productive relationships with a designated panel of Brokers. This could also include soliciting business from Introducers & direct Customers within your allocated territories and/or areas of responsibility.

The Business Development Executives Overall objective is to hit company set IPMI Growth Targets. To contribute with input and feedback to assist the overall strategic plan of the Company when required and to assist with its delivery. This is a sales role and expected internal interaction with Underwriting/ Policy Admin/ Marketing and Compliance will be needed.

What does a day in the life of a Business Development Executive look like:

New Business – maintain relationships with brokers, introducers and customers to ensure the production of viable new LTG and LTI (including STI/STG) new business. Conduct meetings within the Company’s brand guidelines and in line with the Company’s image and values. Keep the relevant CRM system up to date at all times. Pre-qualify all SME opportunities over the phone and follow up on pipeline regularly to maximise conversion potential. Promote the Company and its products at every opportunity.

Establish New broker Partners – Establish new broker partnerships to ensure distribution network continues to expand. Prepare and provide training for new brokers. Liaise with Sales &/or Agency Support colleagues to ensure all appropriate documentation is complete and all necessary information provided to initiate new broker agency.

Broker Relationship Building – to ensure all brokers, introducers and customers within your allocated responsibilities are kept up to date with the Company’s products, literature, pricing, target lines etc. and to identify, follow up and resolve any issues in good time and in keeping with the Company’s requirements. To include assisting brokers with any ongoing issues in respect of their clients.

Sales conferences/ Events – To represent the Company at any promotional events, conferences including exhibitions, shows, sponsored events etc. as required.

Comply with all legal requirements and Company policies and procedures, including those relating to Compliance, Employment Contracts, and contracts with suppliers and customers, Health & Safety and Premises
