Denmark, CopenhagenAbout the Role:We are seeking a skilled Senior Internal Investigator to lead internal investigations, ensuring integrity and compliance within the organization. This role requires expertise in managing sensitive investigations, including employee misconduct, fraud, and policy violations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate the highest ethical standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Investigations: Lead and manage internal investigations related to employee misconduct, fraud, and policy violations.
- Gather Evidence: Collect, analyze, and synthesize information from a variety of sources, including interviews, documentation, emails, and financial records.
- Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive investigation reports, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and legal teams.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure investigations align with company policies, legal regulations, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with legal, human resources, and compliance departments to address issues uncovered during investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and systemic issues to mitigate future misconduct or violations.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior investigators, and foster a culture of ethics and compliance across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal investigations, compliance, law enforcement, or related roles.
- Certifications: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), or similar professional certification is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong interviewing and investigative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal regulations, corporate governance, and HR policies.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple investigations.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with case management and investigative software systems.
