The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success. It delivers the training, tools and opportunities needed to create innovative solutions for the function & the corporation. PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Specialist, Logistics Process & Training will help define, document and drive standard logistics processes to support global logistics teams. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the company’s logistics operations are effectively documented and optimized for efficiency and compliance. The individual will also support programs to develop, operate, and enhance Corning’s global logistics digitalization strategies while working as part of the Logistics Center of Excellence (CoE).
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Collaborate with logistics operations teams and other supply chain functions (planning, procurement, manufacturing, and customer)
-Become a SME in Logistics-related tools and systems
-Define, develop and manage logistics process documentation, including procedures, workflows, guidelines, and best practices
-Ensure documents are maintained by driving a regular review and approval process with stakeholders
-Assist in planning or providing training programs
-Work with Communications team to align to corporate or department standards
-Organize and store process documents in a way that is easily accessible for a global audience
-Must allocate a minimum 25% to support US working hours
-5% – 10% travel required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

-Bachelor degree/ major in business administration or supply chain management
-3-5 years of experience in Logistics, or supply chain
-Preferred professional experience or academic background in logistics, sourcing, operations execution, supplier management, and program/project management.
-Proficiency in Microsoft 365
-Strong organizational skills and detailed-oriented
-Proficient English language speaker and writer
-Exceptional written communication skills
-Collaborative skills for working with global team members and across functions
-Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
