Its underlying concerns will be
- Efficient administration of Resources,
- Sustainable quality of Deliverables and
- Effective interfacing with Clients, Suppliers ad Project team.
As SQS Coordinator and Expediting Lead, you will be responsible for :
- Selecting , deploying and overseeing Field Inspectors, both from Company and Agencies.
- Facilitates the effective implementation of SQS programs within Projects. Reviews Surveillance programs for consistency with criticality assessments and contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Performs routine SQS functions including planning, Inspection and Test Plan review, deviation and non-conformance management, inspection release and Project reporting.
- Interfaces with Clients and Suppliers. Reviews inspection reports and ensures their technical quality.
- Allocates resources and time, and tracks, verifies and reports, ensuring fulfilment of Project requirements and constraints.
- To plan, organize and provide purpose and intent for project Expediting activities and can be actively involved as Senior figure in critical POs.
- To acquire data to measure Supplier progress. Monitors and reports progress to Project Management. Detects blocking points and follows up their progress and solution.
- Review SDRL’s and comment
- Preparation of Inspection Plans for issuance with enquiry packages
- Provide SQS man-hour estimates for individual SQS assignment packages
- Develop Project Inspection Schedule with the support of Project planner
- Revise Inspection plans and align with agreed Vendor Quality Control (QC) program after VCM.
- Review with engineering supplier enquiry response to QC scope/ content of Vendor bid packages.
- Complete as required Vendor assessments.
- Attend, VCM, and Post Award Vendor Meetings.
- Forecasting manning requirements to maintain schedules.
- Issue Safe Plan of Action. (SPA)
- Review Completed Safe plan of Action (SPA)
- Review and Issue Inspection Assignment packages
- Management/co-ordination of Inspection visits. (directly with inspectors, or third-Party Inspection company)
QualificationsACADEMIC BACKGROUND
- University Degree, or equivalent, in related field with no previous management experience.
- Typically 7+ years relevant experience in related field.
- Requires broad knowledge of at least one functional area, with limited knowledge of other related functions.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience as Inspection Coordinator is required
- Previous experience as Expeditor is desirable – role will lead a group of expeditors in a Project team
- Working experience in EPC and/or fabrication, manufacturing or distribution facility is highly desired
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Proficient in the use of computers and commonly-used business software, especially including database management tools is required
- Familiarity with industry-specific scheduling tools is an objective for advancement
- Strong understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field
- Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues
SOFT SKILLS
- Effectively communicate to staff and construction project team
- Strong ability to Inform and persuade on complex matters through preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and management
- Works with self-initiated interaction with supervisor and self-initiated technical guidance
- Work is assigned in terms of objectives, relative priorities, and critical areas that impinge on work of other units
- Work is reviewed to ensure policy conformity and soundness of approach
