Bumble is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our in-house Localisation Team as a Localisation Quality Manager. In this fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will play a central role in ensuring the highest quality of our localised content across all platforms and markets.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strategic thinking abilities, and strong organisational skills. A deep understanding of linguistic nuances, cultural sensitivities, and the technical aspects of localisation is essential. You will work closely with various internal departments, collaborate with our network of freelancers and external partners to develop and implement initiatives that maintain and enhance the quality of our localisation efforts.
Your contributions will be instrumental in implementing quality assurance processes, conducting regular audits, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure our content resonates authentically with our global audience.
What you’ll do
- Building and implementing a new quality management programme, considering evolving needs, requirements, and available resources to enhance localisation quality and efficiency.
- Conducting regular audits on localised content, performing regular source versus target reviews to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Requesting formal feedback from internal stakeholders, fostering cross-functional engagement in the review process to continuously improve localisation quality.
- Coordinating with third-party vendors for external reviews to obtain unbiased evaluations of our localisation quality.
- Establishing and tracking key quality metrics, reporting on the performance of localisation outputs, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Continuously refining localisation quality assurance processes and tools, including the integration of AI-assisted localisation methods, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
About you
- 3+ years of experience in the localisation industry.
- Degree in Localisation, Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent training/experience.
- Strong expertise in localisation quality management practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in additional languages other than English is a significant advantage.
