In this role, you will guide a talented team of experts, delivering impactful services in ESG strategy, performance, compliance, governance, and building trust across supply chains, systems, and products. Join us to make a difference in a thriving, purpose-driven environment.Responsibilities:As our Team Lead in the Netherlands, you will not only lead a team but also play a key role in growing and diversifying our Netherlands Supply Chain & Product Assurance (SCPA) unit. You will drive the delivery of sustainability services, offering expert advice to both new and existing clients and supporting our internal and external stakeholders.Working alongside our skilled and passionate team in Rotterdam, as well as with global teams and customers, you will have the chance to strengthen your commercial management and leadership skills while exploring exciting business opportunities. - Lead and inspire the Netherlands SCPA team with strategic direction and vision.
- Grow and strengthen the team’s capabilities, expanding and diversifying our sustainability services.
- Set clear goals and objectives aligned with our global growth and improvement strategy.
- Drive profitable performance, implementing financial and cost controls for accurate and timely monitoring.
- Build and manage a portfolio of client relationships and fee-earning projects, structuring delivery across your team and collaborating effectively with virtual teams.
- Mentor and motivate team members, fostering teamwork and utilizing expertise and resources across the business.
- Oversee business development and nurture client relationships for impactful growth.
Performance metrics:
- Meet key commercial goals, including unit sales for sustainability and supply chain services, external revenue, and profitability, while fostering a unified “One P&L” approach to business decisions.
- Promote employee satisfaction, growth, and team resilience.
- Strengthen collaboration with other units across Europe and within DNV globally.
- Lead market-focused activities to boost DNV’s visibility and reputation.
- Innovate new service offerings to secure our position and drive future growth.

Experience in sustainability reporting and consulting, assurance (such as CSRD), climate action, supply chain management, or green product claims is highly valued. Additionally, we are also looking for:
- Strong professional knowledge of standards such as ISAE3000, AA1000AS, ISO14016:2020, and ISO17029:2019.
- Ideally, familiarity with key standards, including:
- Environmental Standards: ISO 14064 series, ISO 14067, GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, and PAS 2050 for assessing the life cycle greenhouse gas emissions of goods and services.
- Climate Standards: SBTi (Science Based Targets “Net-zero standard” and sector guidance) and Climate Bond Standard (version 4.0+).
- Social Standards: United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP), International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Conventions, Social Accountability 8000 (SA8000), Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code, and OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
- Governance Standards: OECD Principles of Corporate Governance and the ICGN Global Governance Principles.
- Eligible to work in the EU and possess excellent language skills (in word and writing) for the English language.
