Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide consistent massages and body treatments as directed in training classes
- Perform facials and recommend skin care therapies
- Perform manicures and pedicures, nail art and recommend colors
- Suggest guidelines on personal skin care regime
- Recommend spa products that fit the guest’s needs
- Recommend and up-sell services that fit the guest’s needs
- Communicate and describe accurately the spa offerings and their benefits
- Handle guests’ questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Respond to the guests’ requests immediately, accurately and appropriately
- Create special conversations with guests, identifying personal preferences to record in each guest’s profile history
- Maintain a daily record of all guests’ requests, reservations and confirmations
- Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a gracious, enthusiastic, helpful and professional attitude with all guests and colleagues
- Maintain a clean, safe, stocked and well-organized work area
- Take care of the equipment and products used throughout the spa facility
- Uphold the standards of sanitation, sterilization, restocking rooms and the pantry area
- Maintain the spa appearance and cleanliness
- Assist in all areas of the spa’s operation as directed by management
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-years experience as a licensed therapist in a luxury hotel environment
- License in massage therapy and certification in a cosmetology, aesthetic or related field
- Working knowledge of skin care therapies, hair removal techniques and beauty products and trends
- Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Italian and English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of holistic concepts and treatments
- Professional grooming and demeanor
- Self-motivation
- Comfortable performing treatments for at least 8 hours
- Knowledge of current spa trends, industry and philosophy (balance, relaxation, unity and a healthy lifestyle)
