On this role you will have an European scope and you create and maintain a strategically well-positioned product portfolio with focus on improving sales, market share and profitability performance across full lifecycle.This is the role
Managing designated product portfolios within dedicated European business segments,
Owning the product assortment throughout its lifecycle, including planning and launching new products, tracking the performance of existing products, and phasing out products at the end of their lifecycle.
Understanding European customers’ needs to develop compelling and achievable products, systems, and services to support the RW-CS strategy and objectives. Translate customer requests into product specifications.
Set the European strategy for the product segment based on customer needs, market trends, market intelligence on competitors and local production needs within the segment strategy process
Ensure the development and launch of appropriate products.
Refresh and obtain relevant certifications (e.g., CE mark).
Develop business cases based on sales forecasts, improvements, cost reductions, etc., justifying investments for new developments and/or product optimization.
Manage the development of new products and executing tests.
Produce and make available the technical documentation for your portfolio to reduce the “Route to Market”
Actively track and monitor the portfolio to increase its performance on an ongoing basis
Optimize commercial performance throughout the product lifecycle, monitor and adjust the portfolio
Select products for phase-out in collaboration with Sales, plan and execute phase-out process
Continuously gather input from internal and external sources and evaluate this input to translate it into product development/management opportunities.
Develop European networks and partnerships to benefit product development/management.
Create clear scoping documents to assess the feasibility and advisability of projects.
Support the development of adequate supportive tools for the European sales team.
Ensure all products, systems, and services comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Work with other departments to establish design, technology, and product development strategies.
Build a pipeline of technical development of products in alignment with the PA & Innovation Manager.
Handle technical inquiries. This is who you are
5+ years’ experience in product management role within construction or industry
Expertise in the sandwich panel business, including production and technical knowledge
Engineering / Master degree in Building physics with a stream on Product Management
English language: fluently in speech and writing
Interpersonal and presentation skills including team work in an international environment
Proactive mindset with ability to engage others, build internal and external network and share relevant information
Good digital working knowledge: from Microsoft Office to Social Network
