In this role, you will manage and improve software change control processes and oversee software testing activities in regulated environments, such as the medical device sector. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality, compliant software across global R&D projects.What you will do
- Change Management Process: Develop, implement, and continuously improve the software change control process, including monitoring process performance and steering cross-product Change Request (CR) investigations
- Coordination & Steering: Coordinate change management and testing activities across multiple software projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and across departments
- Test Management: Plan, track, and report on software system test rounds, steering both manual and automated testing activities. Oversee the execution of exploratory tests and the acceptance of software deliveries based on quality status
- Offshore Team Leadership: Lead and coach offshore test teams, ensuring that testing activities meet project requirements and quality standards
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for internal stakeholders including R&D departments, project teams, customer support, and product management. Represent software project deliveries in terms of quality status to system integration teams and domain experts
- Release Management Support: Support release meetings by providing formal CR reports and ensuring the quality and performance of the software change process
- Product Quality Reporting: Report on product quality status, test process performance, and generate formal product test documentation. Conduct root cause analysis of change requests and complaints as needed
- Training & Coaching: Provide training and coaching to project teams on change processes, test processes, and best practices. Participate in industry committees, such as the HIMSA test committee, to represent our company in certification test procedures
What you bringExperience
- Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in software testing and software change management, ideally within regulated environments such as medical devices
- Test Lifecycle Expertise: Experience across the full software test lifecycle, including requirement analysis, test planning, test case development, test environment setup, data creation, and test execution
- Change Management Process Development: Proven experience in defining and establishing a software change management process, ideally within an overall system scope
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development and testing processes
- Technical Skills: Demonstrable experience in software development complemented by adeptness in test automation, including efficient management of bugs, modification queries, and execution of code review investigations
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, with optional proficiency in Danish or German
- For certifications, holding the ISTQB Certified Test Professional qualification is advantageous
