Teams in this area cover a range of customer-facing solutions, from algorithmic design builders to quick upload and edit flows and feature-rich design tools. More specifically, this Lead Designer will go deep into the features and functionality that support our customers in creating print and digital designs, such as printing materials or social media posts, including animation and video editing tools. This will include researching and validating solutions, creating sophisticated components that work across our varied design flows, and designing interactions to ensure an unrivaled end-to-end customer journey. This position is remote, and candidates are welcome to take advantage of our many collaboration spaces across the globe. In this role you will:Drive foundational experiences and baselines for the “DIY”, ensuring cohesive and high-quality customer experiences across the entire editor.Led the design of core functionality in the editor, where customers create their designs, focusing on usability enhancements and innovative solutions that address customer problems, from simple tweaks to complex design challenges.Account for edge cases, accessibility standards, and diverse customer scenarios to ensure solutions meet business and user needs holistically.Collaborate closely with Product Manager and Engineering Lead to define, deliver, and standardize design requirements while establishing principles for future foundational baselines.Deeply involved at every stage of the design and development process – from discovery through detailed design, execution, and iteration – creating high-quality user flows, wireframes, pixel perfect designs, and prototypes, of your own hand or, at times, through collaborating with other designers.A valuable partner to cross-functional teams, including brainstorming with collaborators around product problems, solutions, requirements, and priorities.Part of the decision-making process to identify and prioritize strategic product design work, and how initiatives are explored and performed upon.A partner to data, consumer insights, and UX research teams for foundational guidance on product direction, and new concept validation.Responsible for ensuring cohesiveness with the Vista design system and marketing brand guidelines.An evangelist for user-centered design methods within the “DIY” and across Vista.Your Qualifications:At Vista, we are striving to hire individuals that add new ideas and perspectives to our teams and enhance our culture. You might be a great candidate for this or other opportunities.5+ years of experience designing sophisticated digital products, preferably in complex products.4+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teams.Strong portfolio showcasing UX and design skills through multiple case studies demonstrating user-centered, creative, highly conceptual, and innovative design solutions that had measurable positive impact for users and the business.Experience bringing to bear quantitative and qualitative data to inspire design decisions and solutions.Ability to move between high level design and detailed design, and between future concepting and near-term implementation.Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with cross-functional peers, including designers, product managers, and engineers.Ability to clearly present design concepts and solutions to a variety of audiences.Highly skilled with type, hierarchy, color, composition, contrast, and other graphic design fundamentals.Passionate about design trends, tools, processes, and methodologies, and willing to learn and share new insights with the team.Highly skilled with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Sketch to create high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes.Experience working with globally distributed teams, and/or in highly matrixed organizations.Nice to Have:Relevant degree in field of Design or HCI.Ability to plan, moderate, and complete a variety of goal-oriented workshops across collaborators, leading to exciting new ideas, new-found consensus, and critical alignment.Experience designing across responsible web and mobile web, as well as within large-scale digital ecosystems.Experience identifying and prioritizing features, as well as participating in complex roadmap planning.Why You’ll Love Working Here:There is a lot to love about working at Vista.
