  • have excellent interpersonal and ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders,
  • have experience leading the collaboration of professional learning teams,
  • have experience leading an IBDP five year-review, self-study, and evaluation process for IB programs (preferred).

The Role: As the High School IB & AP Coordinator, you will coordinate the implementation and administration of both the AP and IB programs. You will oversee and support the IB Core Team and SSST Coordinator. You will work closely with the Director of Curriculum and Staff Development to ensure alignment with the school’s mission and vision. You will oversee the coordination of exams, training of staff, and communication with relevant external organizations such as the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and the College Board.The Work: You will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the implementation of both the Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs at our school. In this role you ensure alignment between the programs, manage the coordination of exams, and support both teachers and students throughout their educational journeys. As a member of the High School Learning Leadership Team, you help all teachers schoolwide to stay aligned. Your expertise will guide both the daily operations and long-term strategies for these programs, ensuring that our students are well-prepared for their post-secondary goals. You will manage the AP and IB program budgets, liaising with the accounts department for invoicing and payments.As High School IB and AP Coordinator, you:

  • develop systems to connect AP and IB data with the school-wide data set to further strategic objectives,
  • keep on top of the requirements,
  • coordinate with the administration to ensure that AP and IB exam scheduling meets all necessary requirements, security regulations and deadlines,
  • educate students about AP/IB exam regulations and academic integrity requirements for mock and final exams,
  • organize teacher development workshops to maintain a shared philosophy for both AP and IB programs,
  • facilitate workshops for students about program options and AP/IB pathways,
  • collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders,
  • work with the High School counseling and leadership team to individually monitor student learning progress,
  • collaborate with the Student Support Director to apply for student accommodations,
  • communicate consistently with the Director about AP and IB updates,
  • collaborate with the AP/IB Coordinator assistant on the recruitment and training of AP/IB exam proctors,
  • organize annual parent meetings to review AP/IB program pathways,
  • provide regular communication to parents about AP/IB program updates that impact students,
  • coordinate staff participation in AP and IB workshops and conferences,
  • lead data dialogues to ensure teaching and learning is informed on AP and IB exam data,
  • teach in the AP and IB program if needed,
  • establish an internal calendar with faculty to manage student workloads over the program’s duration,
  • build relationships with other AP/IB coordinators in the region to stay informed about program developments and best practices.
