Support in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Maintains and reconciles accounts. Develops and maintains automated systems, controls and procedures. Responds to inquiries regarding settlement policies, procedures, and issues from management. Prepares and develops reports for management. Strives and promotes process improvement. Engages and contributes to ongoing and new projects.May identify gaps and inform solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors. May actively identify, respond and/or escalate risks as appropriate. May inform policies and procedures to maximize profit potential and minimize regulatory exposure. May serve as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Seven to 10 years of applicable experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting and in-depth data analysis
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
- Experience in process improvement
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Sound reasoning ability together with strong problem solving skills;
- Attention to detail at all times;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and personal organization skills;
- Be a team player, with the ability to act independently but collaboratively
