Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Business Manager to join our thriving technical community in the UK as a key member of the Public Sector Technical Team. You will join a friendly and supportive team, working together to bring the latest in disruptive cloud computing technologies to AWS Public Sector customers including: government agencies, state-owned companies, educational institutions, healthcare, and non-profit organisations.

Key job responsibilities

As a Business Manager, you will align and organise strategy and implementation through people, processes and mechanisms to drive business decisions and deliver against business goals, metrics and commitments. You will own the governance process of the Tech Team and will co-ordinate the required input to the UK Sales organisation’s governance process, as well as that of the global Tech organisation.

You will help identify, define and scale customer impacting strategic initiatives. Internally, you will be an advocate of the UK Tech Team to help drive change in the business, harnessing data to identify patterns and trends and establishing mechanisms to increase our productivity and employee engagement. You will work closely with the UK Tech and Sales Leadership teams as well as building relationships with global counterparts to drive strategic implementation, define improvements, and measure progress and impact.

As a Business Manager in the UK Tech Team, you will be skilled in your ability to build cross-team and cross-organisation relationships, including with our Sales, Professional Services, Specialist and Partner Teams and our functional teams (Enablement, Business Operations, Finance).

You will help identify emerging trends and opportunities across the business and foster a culture of collaboration to accelerate progress towards business goals. You will be responsible for developing and implementing mechanisms to foster productivity, simplify processes, facilitate collaboration and information sharing. You will be data driven in your approach, seek to challenge assumptions, and back up decisions with data. You deliver results and see initiatives through to completion.
