1564339We are currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to work in a secondary school in West Leeds.This is a full-time Science placement and will be to start in January until the end of the academic year, in the first instance, with a potential to be made permanent.A successful Teacher will be able to deliver Science to a range of abilities, up to and including A level and will be responsible for planning, marking and their own exam classes.About the schoolThis secondary school, in West Leeds, educates students aged 11 to 18, including a well-regarded sixth form. It offers a broad and ambitious curriculum designed to prepare students for diverse pathways post-education. While the sixth form receives praise for fostering positive attitudes and providing effective academic support, a recent evaluation by Ofsted highlighted areas requiring improvement, such as teaching consistency, student behaviour, and support for vulnerable learners.
Strengths include a commitment to inclusivity and a focus on improving outcomes for disadvantaged students and those with additional needs.Requirements:
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- Well qualified with an honours degree in relevant subject
- 2 x references from educational establishments
- A passion for success and quality teaching
- An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service
