Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management

– Identify, evaluate (existing and potential future vendors), and select suitable vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance factors;– Negotiate favourable terms and conditions for contracts, ensuring the best value for the organization;– Manage vendor relationships (existing and new ones), ensuring timely delivery, adherence to service level agreements, and resolution of any issues.

  • Procurement Process

– Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and processes, aligning them with the organisation’s goals;– Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and gather information on pricing, product specifications, and delivery terms;– Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and other necessary procurement documentation- Monitor the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.

  • Contract Management

– Review, analyze, and negotiate contracts to protect the organization’s interests and mitigate risks;– Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, managing any disputes or issues that may arise.

  • Cost Management

– Track and analyze procurement costs to identify cost savings and efficiency improvements opportunities;– Implement cost-saving measures, such as negotiating better pricing, consolidating purchases, and exploring alternative sourcing options.

  • Data Management

– Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including vendor information, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices;– Prepare reports and analyses on procurement performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Required Skills and Qualifications:Masters degree in Law, Business Administration, SCM or a related field;Proven experience in procurement. IT procurement experience is an asset;Strong negotiation and communication skills;Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices within a regulated environment.
