Temporary Accountant
Leicester
Salary range: A£33000 – A£36000 (A£17-A£19 per hour)
Our client is a SME organisation seeking a temporary accountant to assist during a period of restructuring.
Primary Objectives: To provide high quality support to the Head of Finance,
Operations and HR with the annual budget setting process, the monthly
management accounts, forecasts and payroll.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
o Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts
including preparing and posting of all journals including but not
limited to Payroll, Accruals, Prepayments, Income, Central
Allocations.
o Preparing timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and
investigation of unexplained reconciling items.
o Timely preparation of monthly payroll.
o Timely preparing and submission of VAT returns to HMRC and
providing basic VAT advice (re-direct the more complicated
ones), as required.
o Support and undertake the chasing payment of outstanding
invoices
o Supporting the Head of Finance, Operations & HR to ensure
there is an effective system of financial controls
Person Specification
o Part Qualified/AAT/QBE
o Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly
Excel
