About the RoleAs a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons: Deliver a comprehensive and engaging Design & Technology curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, aligned with the national curriculum and the school’s educational aims.
  • Create a dynamic learning environment: Foster a stimulating and interactive classroom where students are encouraged to participate, collaborate, and develop their creativity.
  • Assess and support student progress: Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement differentiated learning strategies to cater to diverse needs and abilities.
  • Maintain a safe and organized learning space: Ensure a well-organized and safe learning environment, ensuring the proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues: Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across the school to enhance the Design & Technology curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.

  • A Design & Technology enthusiast: You possess a deep passion for the subject and its real-world applications, with a strong commitment to student success.
  • An exceptional educator: You are an outstanding classroom practitioner with proven experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level (KS3-KS4).
