RINA is currently recruiting for a R&D Engineer to join its office in Lecce, Italy within the Italy Infrastructure & Mobility Division.MissionThe candidate will be involved in both technical R&D activities for EU and National funded Projects and in technical activities for industrial Projects.Key AccountabilitiesKnowledge is required for the development of innovative solutions (both R&D and industrial) in the fields of Structural Health and Environmental Monitoring (SHM) systems for different final applications (e.g., construction, marine, oil & gas, among the others).His/her duties will include planning and execution of technical/testing/on-site activities (both R&D and industrial), data analysis and interpretation, and technical reporting.The candidate will work in a dynamic consultancy environment, with the opportunity to increase his/her skills, potentially acting as focal technical point for his/her own areas of expertise. #LI-AU5EducationMaster’s Degree in Materials Engineering or Civil EngineeringOther in Electronic/TLC EngineeringQualificationspreferably 2 years of experience in similar rolesKnowledge of traditional sensors (e.g., accelerometers, inclinometers, strain gauges, acoustic) and data acquisition systems, measuring technologies (e.g., fiber optics technology), and preliminary design of SHM systemsPlanning and execution of testing campaigns,Fluency in EnglishAvailability to travel worldwide on short and mid-term assignmentsThe following aspects will be considered as a plus:Previous certifiable involvement in EU or National funded ProjectPrevious certifiable experience in fields relevant for this job postingBasic knowledge of civil structures and infrastructuresPhD degree in fields relevant for this job postingBasic knowledge of data analysis software (MATLAB, Mathcad, LabVIEW)Competencies
