Whether building original equipment or maintaining products in the aftermarket, we enable companies in every industry to be more efficient, productive, and profitable.We are Gates.POSITION SUMMARY:SAP Application Manager position will require highly qualified knowledge and experience of interfacing with key stakeholders (Centralized CoE, Regional project & deployment Teams, and numerous other technology resources) while leading the development of SAP architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve complex business objectives with focus on S4HANA eco-system. This role will partner with and provide architectural leadership to applications, infrastructure & information security teams regarding SAP Roadmap and support building an optimal & cost-effective ERP Technical service organization.The incumbent will manage the entire SAP ecosystem and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture Definition, Solution Design & Delivery and Operational support. SAP Application Manager will have big picture ownership of generational technologies comprising the SAP investment. This role will analyze the current SAP architecture (On-Premise & Cloud) to develop opportunities for improvement to enhance business processes, integrate SAP technical tools / solutions and Optimize landscape environments (On-Premise Systems and Cloud Tenants) & Capacity, to lay strong foundation for S4HANA roll outs and Increase overall supportability effectiveness.Additionally, this role will set & influence Gates SAP strategic direction and will assist in the creation of a unified approach to Enterprise Applications to support the rapid evolution and innovation needs of our information technology projects. This role will represent as technology SME for S4HANA implementation at Gates while coordinating related activities with various technology, application, and operation teams. In addition, this role will also be responsible for working with AMS (Application management services) vendor for effective delivery of SAP Technical Services.Internally, this role will report to Director – Gates ERP Technical Services in US.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.(Technical Solution & Delivery – 80%)

• Provides technical solutions in liaison with S4 HANA capabilities and keeps current on technology trends both in the IT industry as a whole and in the SAP space.
• Manage across all stages of solution implementation, upgrade, and support of the latest SAP systems versions and provide SME, critical thinking and quality assurance to Gates SAP application team working on technical stack that includes S4HANA, PO, GTS, Fiori, SOLMAN, SDI and HCI (HANA Cloud Infrastructure etc.
• Act as a liaison between technical team, functional team, and system Integrators to architect efficient and scalable SAP solutions. As needed, Perform hands-on solution design, architecture roadmaps, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and development tasks.
• Design and deliver new B2B and B2C integration (SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP C4C, SAP Analytical Cloud) with Gates SAP S4HANA systems utilizing SAP OData based synchronous and API based integrations.
• Improve the performance of Applications by leveraging SAP code pushdown approach and using SAP standard CDS view and AMDP procedures.
• Roll out the new SAP S4 user experience – FIORI first applications to business and make them mobile enabled.
• Provide leadership in all aspects (Architect, Governance & Delivery) of the Gates SAP systems solutions including decision making for optimized / follow the sun service organization.
• Lead projects delivery and operational support while managing team workload, project prioritization and performance with consistent interaction with stakeholders to track benefits realization through KPI reporting
• Establish Standards, SOPs and Governance processes for SAP Technical services transformation while managing compliance to Controls and Regulatory policies.
• Manage service delivery for Inhouse and external AMS partners with defined SLAs through effective use of ITSM tools

• Considered SME in technical discipline; mentors and guides internal & external resources in the use of procedures & standards. Develops and drives standard practices within the team; collaborates with other IT groups to support Enterprise applications architecture requirements.
• Acquires and maintains knowledge of business unit processes/functions relevant to projects and application support assignments, as well as stay current with new technologies and techniques as appropriate.
• Coordinates activities and interactions with auditing team to ensure procedure integrity and security enforcement.
• Support complex system integration efforts and develop level of effort (LOE) estimates to meet program timelines/guidelines.
• Forecast future skills needed to acquire and develop an IT / SAP workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills, and architect competencies.
• Drives continuous improvement throughout the business and IT organization by promoting best practices, standardized business processes and systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Enterprise Applications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESWill oversee & manage solid and dotted lines reports provided through projects’ or cross functional / technical matrix organization and have responsibility for day-to-day coaching to ensure success in execution of multiple simultaneously running global & regional deployment projects and operational support.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

• Strong experience in architecting and technical configuration of SAP solutions: SAP S4/HANA (On-Prem& Cloud), Fiori, GRC, SAP xECM, PI/PO, SAP CPI, Cloud connector, Solution Manage & Data hub solutions in On-Premise & cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of SAP new tools and technologies – SAP BAS (Business Application Studio), ADT (ABAP development Tool), SAP web IDE, ABAP programming on S4 HANA, SAP HEC (HANA Enterprise cloud), SAP Cloud Platform (SCP), SAP Cloud SDK and SAP S4 Cloud in App and Side by Side extensions processes & RESTful programming etc.
• Strong development background with good understanding of ABAP OO, Design Patterns, ABAP for SAP S/4HANA development paradigm, CDS, BOPF, Fiori, ODATA Services, BAPI, BADI, ALV, LSMW/ LTMC, Adobe Form, Enhancement Framework etc.
• Should have worked on integration with SAP, Non-SAP (A2A), External (B2B) and cloud (C2C) systems using SAP PO and SAP- CPI and standard Adapters like File, SFTP, SOAP, JDBC, RFC, and IDOC.
• Strong work experience in SAP Fiori, UI5, SAP Fiori Elements (List Report, Work List, Object page etc.) and SAP Annotations.
• Experience in various development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.), Continuous integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and DevSecOps processes and tools.
• Previous experience working in a Global outsourced, managed services environment with blend of onshore and offshore resources. Working experience in Hybris IT landscape (On-Premises and Cloud) is desired.
• Experience managing IT vendors in delivery of system administration and application support services. Working knowledge of SAP functionalities as it relates to manufacturing industries is preferred.

Highly desired, but not required.

• Relevant certifications to include: – SAP S/4 HANA certifications, Cloud Certification.
• Working knowledge of IT Governance & Service Management framework (ITIL)
• Project Management certification is desirable

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or Business Administration; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ Years of experience working in SAP implementation and support projects in similar roles within a comparably sized or larger multi-national company.
• 5+ Years’ experience in managing SAP technical teams or significant ERP teams for an established IT organization while managing delivery through software development life cycle (SDLC) in Managed Services environment.
• Has been in a technical leadership role in 2+ full lifecycle SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects on premise and on Cloud IaaS hosting at global organizations, including extensive experience in architecting and designing technical solutions in an environment with heavy mix of Iaas, Paas, SaaS and on-prem applications.
• Ability to be hands-on for all technical aspects and configuration of SAP technologies (Application, Middleware and User Experience), troubleshooting, managing teams and support for data integrations.
• Experienced in leveraging outsourced partners supporting technical implementation, support, maintenance, and system administration efforts
• Candidates must be fluent in the English language.
• Primarily work a standard work week, but ability to work some evenings and weekends to meet project and support requirements.
