Job Description Summary
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will collaborate with various DEME Activity Lines, primarily in offshore operations. Your main responsibility will be to develop comprehensive supply chain solutions for both tender and project purposes. These supply chain scopes often involve complexity and high value, such as transporting foundations or establishing marshalling harbors, which are critical components of DEME’s construction projects.Your responsibilitiesAnalyze logistical needs: assess the logistical requirements of internal clients (tenders or projects), considering input from all stakeholders;Supply chain solutions: devise end-to-end supply chain solutions for offshore construction projects, particularly those related to offshore wind farms, during the tender and preparation phases;Execution phase monitoring: continuously monitor and adjust the supply chain during project execution, ensuring optimal performance by subcontractors;Budget preparation: prepare budgets and comprehensive documents, including Method Statements;Internal point of contact: serve as the internal point of contact for all logistics and shipping-related inquiries, supporting both tender and project teams;Vendor interaction: assist DEME category buyers by drafting Requests for Quotations for third-party providers (shipping companies, ports, heavy lift companies, and terminal operators);Quotation analysis: analyze and compare incoming quotations and proposals;Contract negotiations: participate in rate and contract negotiations with potential subcontractors;Reporting structure: you will report to the Category Manager for Project Logistics.Your profileEducational background: hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Applied Economics, Business Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
