Role Description:

The demand for new affiliate partnerships in the Technology sector is growing rapidly at Clickout Media. We are looking for a driven, highly organised individual to become part of the team. This person will be responsible for finding new and best in field deals relevant to the technology content that we produce. They will work closely with both the commercial and editorial teams to maximise revenue and increase effective growth within the department.

Core Tasks:

1 – Affiliate program applications

  • Research, identify, and apply for new affiliate programs

  • Ensure all applications goals are met and submitted accurately

2 – Follow up and relationship management

  • Follow up on pending applications to ensure timely approvals

  • Build and maintain relationships with affiliate managers to enable smoother communication and onboarding

3 – Pipeline Management

  • Track progress of applications via Hubspot

  • Prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met

4 – Market Research and Opportunity Identification

  • Identify high value opportunities

  • Stay informed about competitor activities and trends in affiliate marketing space

5 – Target Achievement

  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPI’s for signups and successful onboarding

  • Identify and prioritise partnerships that align with revenue growth objectives

6 – Process Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure applications follow established processes

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions

7 – Problem Solving and Escalation

  • Address delays or roadblocks in the application process, using creative solutions to overcome challenges

  • Escalate complex issues to senior team members when necessary

8 – Learning and Development

  • Stay updated on affiliate marketing models and best practices

  • Participate in training sessions to improve industry knowledge and sales techniques

Essential Requirements:

1 – Strong Communication Skills

  • Ability to communicate professionally with partners via email, phone, or agency platforms so they can apply for affiliate programs and follow up on application processes

2 – Self-motivated and results driven

  • Hungry to succeed mentality, motivated to chase leads, follow up persistently, and complete partnerships

3 – Goal oriented with a strong sense of urgency

  • Meet and exceed application and approval targets

  • Act with urgency to resolve roadblocks

4 – Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Must be able to handle multiple applications at various stages and prioritise effectively

  • Follow link organisational process that already exists

  • Work with content team to follow pipeline

5 – Adaptability and problem solving skills

  • Ability to pivot and find alternative paths when applications stall, or face delays.

6 – Previous sales or affiliate experience

  • A background in affiliate marketing sales or similar environment

  • Desirable – good knowledge of B2C marketing, basic B2B

  • Experience or familiarity with software sales – eg. VPN, AntiVirus, AI, Streaming, CRM, VoIP, Project Management and Accounting Software.

7 – Basic understanding of affiliate marketing

  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing commercial models CPL, CPC, CPA, Revshare. Do they understand what we are looking for? Can they spot a deal?

8 – Coachability and willingness to grow

  • Enthusiastic about learning industry practices and training on new processes and tools

9 – Attention to detail

  • Accurately input information, follow specific partner requirements, and adhere to platform guidelines to ensure applications are processed smoothly and without error
