Start: JanuaryA small but rapidly improving foundation special school in Oxford is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join its permanent staff team from January 2025.   • Support the learning and development of pupils with special educational needs, in both group and one-to-one settings.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom activities.
  • Provide care and encouragement to pupils, helping them develop independence and confidence.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to inform teaching strategies and interventions.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant experience in education or childcare is desirable but not essential applications are welcomed from individuals with varying levels of experience, including those new to the profession.
  • A willingness to learn and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo the process).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
