Apply now to join our global organisation where we empower our employees to thrive and make a difference.About the jobThe International Baccalaureate (IB) is transforming its technology delivery through the implementation of a new operating model.We are seeking a Digital Transformation Senior Manager to provide leadership, strategy development, and drive the change management process.The successful digital transformation will support and amplify our ability to successfully develop our digital capabilities and implement digital solutions and leverage digital to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing and complex environment. The focus is on 1) establishing IB as a key player in the digital education ecosystem and 2) strengthening our understanding and support to the communities we serve. This position is crucial in our success.It can be based in The Hague (NL) or Cardiff (UK).Role and responsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Change Management:
- Forge strong alliances with leaders and stakeholders across the organization to precisely identify and
address change management needs essential for executing the digital transformation.
- Own, design, and lead a comprehensive change management process for the digital transformation,
ensuring seamless adoption and integration across the organization.
Change Management Implementation:
- Develop and implement change management strategies to address the impacts of digital
transformation, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Align change management process with business needs while incorporating robust change
management principles to ensure successful adoption.
- Work closely with teams to manage the human side of change, including addressing resistance,
fostering engagement, and ensuring alignment with the digital strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Communication:
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders across the organization, ensuring
thorough comprehension and effective implementation of the digital strategy with a strong focus on
change management.
- Develop and execute communication plans to articulate the vision, benefits, and impacts of digital
transformation, fostering a culture of openness and collaboration.
- Create and deliver high-level executive briefings, providing transparent updates on digital strategy
progress, highlighting change management milestones, and securing executive buy-in for pivotal
decisions.
Operational Model Enhancement with Change Integration:
- Evaluate the digital operating model across the technology teams, identifying opportunities to
strengthen and standardize with a sharp focus on product management, agile methodologies, and
change management practices.
- Develop a sophisticated model for estimating resource requirements, encompassing financial and
capability needs, and incorporating change management resources to support the successful
fulfillment of the digital strategy.
Change Management Analytics & Resource Advocacy:
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of the organization’s diverse digital requirements, incorporating
change readiness assessments, and steering robust decision-making processes that align with strategic
goals.
- Evaluate and champion for the necessary resources, including change management support, ensuring
successful implementation and sustained digital transformation momentum.About you
- Excellent communication skills (in English – the working language of the organization), including
ability to structure complex information / difficult decisions and communicate sensitively to diverse
audiences, including Senior Leadership * Broad business knowledge and problem solving aptitude, including both strategy and operationsin similar business environments * Significant experience in designing and leading digital transformations in large or global organizations, including
- Broad knowledge of key digital practices: product management, delivery methodologies (Agile,
waterfall), customer centricity, change management methologies * High degree of technical knowledge and understanding of digital transformation
- Deep understanding of and experience in leading large-scale Digital transformation programmes.
- Detailed understanding of customer experience, analytics and technology.
- Experience managing highly complex projects in 800+ FTE organisations
- Understanding of standard practices in org design and operating model for organisations
- Able to manage and advise on complex projects, and navigate complex organizational dynamics to
design a plan for change * Able to quickly build trust and credibility as a leader with diverse stakeholders, getting peoplealigned around a vision and achieving results through the effective influencing and management
