The Trade Compliance Analyst will join a team of export/import compliance professionals
responsible for NetApp’s Global Trade Compliance (GTC) Program. The Analyst will assist with
the global-trade specific aspects of the Client ERP project as well as moving to the Client GTM
application as part of the overall ERP project.The Global Trade Compliance (GTC) group is responsible for Trade Policy and Trade Operations
at NetApp. GTC supports and provides guidance to all NetApp organizations involved in
international trade related activities. For example, GTC has the responsibility for managing
export licensing of products and technical data; accomplishing all customer or transaction
screenings such as restricted party list reviews; managing export/import compliance awareness
training; handling foreign national screening and licensing (deemed exports); classification of
products and technical data under appropriate EAR ECCNs and Harmonized System codes;
maintaining compliance procedures; conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with U.S.
and applicable global regulations; and completing any other activity required to progress the trade
compliance function within NetApp.Responsibilities of the Business Data Analyst include, but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborating with NetApp’s internal Global Trade Compliance team to develop end-to[1]end processes and requirements for GTC in the Client GTM and ERP projects,
impacting all geographies and business units.
- Reviewing and cleaning up existing data sets.
- Migrating data to new tools and applications; developing ongoing audit plans specific to
the transition.
- Identifying efficiencies with a view to the overarching business case and strategic
priorities of the company. Ensures emphasis not on replicating what we have but
ensuring an improved solution for the enterprise.
- Assist with the transition from the existing Trade Automation tool to the Client GTM
application.
- Maintains close working relationships with GTC and Cloud ERP and Client GTM project
LeadsRequirements:
- Strong functional and process knowledge combined with the ability to collaborate
with other subject matter experts internal and external to NetApp to deliver best in
class processes aligned with industry standards and best practices under tight timelines.
- Possess strong expertise in data management, understanding of business processes of
supply chain and global trade, significant hands-on time in legacy or similar applications.
- Aside from strong interpersonal and communication skills, candidate will have robust
documentation ability, able to read functional specifications as well as create and update
training materials, test scripts and user guides.
- Manage data, perform user acceptance testing, collate import figures and statistics,
produce reports for management.
- Structured and analytical thinker, data-driven with strong technology capability;
specifically looking for expertise in Client ERP and GTM applications as well as Tableau,
Excel, Access, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, including in dealing with complex and
confidential matters.
- Fluency in English.
Education & Experience:
- Global trade compliance data management and/or experience with export screening
tools.
- Self-starter and project management skills a must.
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA, computer science degree a plus.
- Supply chain experience a plus
