The role
As the Head of International Business Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping business strategies by analyzing partner performance, financials, and market trends within the life sciences sector. Your insights will drive operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and align cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
This position is based at one of Ascendis Pharma’s European offices (UK, France, Spain, Germany, or Denmark) with flexibility to work remotely and travel (~30%) to the Copenhagen headquarters and international markets. Reporting to the VP of International Markets, you will collaborate closely with the respective Heads of International Medical Affairs, Strategic Marketing and Market Access.
Your Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret partner financial and operational data.
- Develop robust financial models and forecasting tools to support planning and strategy.
- Present insights, trends, and risks to senior management through clear, actionable reports.
Market Research and Strategy
- Conduct market research to assess competitive landscapes and emerging trends.
- Collaborate with marketing, market access, and medical affairs to align business goals with market strategies.
Business Planning and Budgeting
- Manage partner onboarding, customer set-up, pricing, and payment terms.
- Prepare annual budgets, S&OP, revenue forecasts, and long-term business plans.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with teams across PSQ, finance, strategic marketing, medical affairs, and operations to integrate financial insights into decision-making.
- Participate in project management to align financial considerations with project goals.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with international partners and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between finance, PSQ, and international teams to optimize production, ordering, and stock management.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA or master’s preferred).
- 5–7 years of experience in business analysis or financial planning within the life sciences sector.
- Proven success in international markets.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial tools and advanced Excel; knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI is a plus.
- Understanding of life sciences industry trends and regulatory environments.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
