Job Opportunity: Western Europe Sales Director
Location: Italy
Are you an experienced commercial leader with a proven track record in the food industry? We are seeking a dynamic Western Europe Sales Director to drive sales strategies and oversee commercial operations for our client, a multinational company specialising in UHT dairy and non-dairy creams for retail and foodservice markets.
The Role
As the Western Europe Sales Director, you will have full commercial responsibility for sales across Western Europe, managing a revenue portfolio of approximately EUR50 million. Reporting to the General Manager, you will define sales strategies, oversee route-to-market plans, and lead a team of 10, including direct and indirect reports across key markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve growth objectives.
Manage sales across Italy, Spain, Portugal, and other Western European markets.
Lead a mixed sales organisation in Italy, including agents and sales representatives.
Supervise and support a team of country managers, area managers, and private label sales specialists.
Strengthen relationships with distributors and identify opportunities for market expansion.
Collaborate closely with the global team to align regional sales strategies with international goals.
Your Profile:
Experience: At least 15 years in sales leadership, with expertise in both retail and OOH (Out-of-Home) channels.
Industry Knowledge: Background in the food industry, particularly in categories such as creams, pastry ingredients, dairy products, or ice cream ingredients.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of international markets and the ability to work effectively within a medium-sized business environment.
Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Leadership: Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
