Great opportunity for a growth-focused Commercial Director to lead the EMEA & APAC regions of a renowned Print Inspection technology provider that is part of a multi-$bn organization with Fortune 500 pedigree.

This senior role will suit a dynamic regional leader with a B2B sales leadership background (ideally hardware/capital equipment), strategic vision, and a ‘hands-on’ approach to be fully engaged with customer sales and staff development.

The Opportunity

AVT, part of the Esko business (a Veralto company / NYSE: VLTO), develops advanced technology print inspection equipment that enables brand owners, OEMs/print press manufacturers and packaging customers to more efficiently produce higher quality output.

Reporting to AVT’s GM and based remotely in Europe (Germany or Belgium is optimal but not critical), this is a newly created regional leadership role to oversee all direct & indirect sales, business development, and customer service activities (30 associates across EMEA & APAC).

The jobholder will drive further substantial growth by identifying new market opportunities, leading and nurturing the sales team (personal involvement in large deals), developing partner relationships, devising pricing strategies, growing existing accounts and aligning with marketing. The role will likely have a 70-80% focus on EMEA.

A recent wider restructuring has facilitated an increased focus on accelerating AVT business growth, and the Commercial Director can take advantage of untapped market opportunities, and an EMEA/APAC team that has strong further development potential.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Results-driven Commercial Director with a B2B sales leadership background and track record of driving regional business growth (preferably hardware/capital equipment)

  • Fluent English. A 2nd European language would be useful (German is advantageous but not critical)

  • Strategic approach and analytical skills to identify emerging gaps in the marketplace, and analyse and resolve problems at strategic & functional levels

  • Inspirational leader who develops and nurtures talent, builds great teams, drives strong sales discipline and encourages accurate sales forecasting

  • Strong negotiation skills and proven competency closing commercial deals

  • Industry experience within Printing/Packaging would be useful but isn’t critical

  • Willing to travel up to 30-50% and flexible to engage across multiple time zones

  • Bachelor’s/Masters’ degree. MBA is a plus​
