Associate Mechanic in Grafenwöhr, Germany

ManTech is seeking a skilled, professional, and service-oriented Associate Mechanic to join our vehicle sustainment team. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

*: Selected candidates without an ACTIVE German/E.U. Work Visa will be required to work the first 90 days in a Temporary role while obtaining their Visa. Once an E.U. Work Visa is approved, then you will be offered a Full-Time German Contract. If accepted, then you will be subjected to paying German taxes, obtaining German Healthcare, and working within the guidelines of the German labor system.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors.

• Work involves maintenance and routine repair work on engines, engine accessories , power transmission systems on automobiles, tucks, construction equipment.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must obtain or already have an active Germany/E.U. Work VISA to be considered.

• Two (2) years of maintenance experience.

• Vocational, technical, military formal certificates of training in a related maintenance field may be substituted for equivalent years of experience.

• Knowledge and proficiency with general automotive tools, shop equipment and diagnostic test equipment.

• Must be able to meet all government CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements for foreign travel into operational locations.

• Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.

• Possession of a valid European or German driver’s license is required (OR) the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license before beginning employment.

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

Desired Qualifications:

• Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.

• Mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: tactical and commercial wheeled vehicles, tracked vehicles, power generators sets or construction equipment.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.

• Must be able to push, pull, and reach.

• Must be able to work in high noise areas.

• Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.

• Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
