In this full-time, max term role, you’ll work as a part of our globally based Climate Change team to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Senior Climate Change Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Adviser plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. Whether it’s contributing to learning and programme development or telling a compelling story about the quality and impact of our Climate Change portfolio, you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children around the world. You will work predominantly from home with our globally based, remote team.
You will make a difference by:
· Leading the development of a MEAL strategy and framework for SCA’s Climate Change portfolio
· Providing guidance and quality assurance to project teams to ensure hi gh-quality, evidence-based theories of change, results frameworks, monitoring and evaluation plans and measurement tools
· Supporting the MEAL components of the design of future Climate Change Proposals
· Guiding project teams on internal and external evaluation and research design, procurement, implementation, management, and governance
· Acting as the primary focal point on all Climate Change M&E and research initiatives with partners and donors
· Leading on indicator and target development, tracking, measuring and communicating the impact of SCA’s climate change portfolio

· Degree in a relevant subject, e.g., Environmental Science, Social Sciences, International Development, Social Research, Data, Policy, etc.
· Extensive experience designing and implementing contextualised MEAL approaches, standards, tools, guidelines etc., with accountability and participation.
· Experience in climate change adaptation approaches in development contexts
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise and process information on development and climate change issues
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including engaging presentation skills and the ability to synthesise complex information.
